It's rather short with black hair and eyes and a dusky complexion. Is your friend all right? It can be terribly violent.

Okay that, yes, okay. Turns out "it" is a lady? I didn't realize it was a lady. Or at least it looks like a lady.

Why the so-called gods allow her to run amok here is beyond me.

If she can't hurt them, then they probably just don't care about what she does. That's my guess, anyway.

Rumor has it, it used to be able to.

Then the so-called gods stripped it of some of its powers, leaving it powerful enough to be a threat to us but not so powerful to threaten their dominion over us.

Yeah, when you put it that way, it really does sound like they don't care about what happens to us.

Wow this got depressing.

That's because they don't.

We're their food.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Well, they haven't stabbed me yet, so I think I'm still gonna say that I like them a little more than demon lady. Just a little bit.

When the Null came, I fought to protect the people here.

The people, not the gods.

Yeah, that's about where I'm standing in all this.

It's likely the best--and the most sane--place to stand.

The people here are worth defending.

The so called gods are, well.

We depend on them for so many things.

I know that.

But they depend on us for many things as well.

Their treatment of us should reflect that.

I wouldn't NOT help them if they need it, I think, but my priority is definitely other people.

Most of them. That demon lady can bite me tbh.

During the Null invasion, they certainly needed it.

Especially as they were betrayed by one of their own.
