As did I and the climate was far better, too. It's simply that everywhere I needed to go seemed to be located on another island than the one I lived on.
Ah, I didn't exactly have that problem. The last time the so-called gods had a feast for us, I was provided with a large number of bottles of Arbor Gold wine. I took them back to my house and have managed to make them last ever since.
Ohh! I remember when that happened. I didn't find anything personally, but I know of others who did. I honestly can't think of anything from home that I'd want aside from my brother or grandmother.
[it would rescue her brother from death and her grandmother from loneliness]
Oh, they have some of those teas. They're quite good. I think my favorite is the chai, though.
[Carolina never really knew any of her parents family, so not much to miss there. If anything, those agents of Project Freelancer and the Sim Troopers have been more family than her actual blood.]
Slight spice to it? Had that around Christmas time some years.
Not the only family, no. My mother died some years ago, but my brother and I had our father. And a plethora of cousins! So many cousins, I couldn't keep them all straight at times. But my brother and my grandmother are the most important to me.
[if there was one thing House Tyrell did particularly well, it was look after their own. they did that very well]
Yes, that's it! Isn't it good? I often have to search for it in the shops, but it's worth the effort.

[But sometimes less is more, as she's learning, especially in a place where resources aren't always that easy to come by.]
Good. Thank you. Not certain if there are times or days that work better for you.
voice
[and she's learned that people seem to like her best when she's herself, when she's honest]
It's my pleasure! And let's see, I usually start to practice at seven in the morning every day. Is that too early or often for you?
voice
I'm usually up earlier, so that works just fine.
voice
That's wonderful. Where would you like to meet?
voice
Range has a flat surface, although more people. Library ruins? Unless you've another suggestion.
voice
The library ruins are fine with me. Honestly, anywhere would have been fine with me now that we no longer have to take boats everywhere.

I suppose that would make things a lot simpler.

[Although in the Blue Haus, coffee is a daily staple...]

[too bitter and requiring too much sugar to be palatable]
voice
What do you drink in the morning then? Tea? Water? Juice?
[... wine?]
voice
Usually tea. They have some decent blends at the shop. Nothing from home, of course, but that--what do they call it?--Tazo tea is good enough.
voice
[Otherwise... Ya.]
Can't say I've ever tried that kind, actually. Some greens, peppermint, Earl Grey.

[She can understand. Epsilon is here, and here is where she will only be able to see him.]
If I see any, I'll keep you in mind.
voice
Every new arrivals day, I hope to find them. It's the only way we'll ever be able to be together again.
[and every month, her hopes are dashed]
Oh? I do thank you. Most people would keep such things for themselves so they could extract a hefty fee for them.
voice
[But there is a small pause.]
I keep things that I think would be useful, for our household, but I've no qualms passing off items that we wouldn't otherwise use.
