Margaery, I left messages for my brothers, my son, and my cousin. Maglor is going to coordinate the warding of the Sewing Shop with the others. They'll get in touch with you as soon as they're embarked on the project, probably tonight or tomorrow.

You can come to the Elfhouse anytime you like, and stay as long as you like. We can come and visit you at your house, too, if that is all right with Daenerys.

It does help to know that others know what you've been through, does it not? And we Elves have all experienced death in our own world.

Yes. It helps. I can't tell you how much. This is--different from my first death. The first one, I knew it was coming. This death. . . even during the height of the Null invasion, I felt safe here.

[ Chuckle. ] You never know. Maybe Elves and Targaryns are like ice and fire? [ But he really doesn't think there would be a problem either. Besides, more like fire and fire. ]

Yes, it is very unpleasant to be surprised in that fashion. To believe you are safe, and then to experience sudden death. I am sorry that that happened to you, and I will do all in my power to help you now.

[ Smile ] Those are popular symbols amongst bards and poets! One of my friends in another world quoted this one to me, by a man named Robert Frost:

[excitedly] Yes, that's it, that's the poem exactly! He quoted it to me during that entire mess with the Null.

Matt must have been well-read. Not everybody knows that poet.

Matt is blind, but he can read using something called braille. It's a series of dots set out into an alphabet.

[ Thinks about that. Yes, that would work! ] And every letter is represented by a pattern of dots? Are they punched into the paper, or carved into a wooden surface?

I suppose there must be many books in braille, in his world? I hope there are, for a mind that loves the Frost poem must love literature in general.

It's all punched into paper. He reads the raised dots with his fingers.

The classics were. He apparently had a beastly time getting law school to accommodate his needs.

He sounds both educated and skilled!

That is a great pity, that he had to persuade them. In my world, we had law-speakers, and they were literate. But their work depended mostly on their ability to study and remember a body of precedent, and to speak eloquently before the assembly. I'm assuming your Matt has similar abilities and talents. And good luck to him!

He is. He's wonderful.

Yes, that's very much like Matt described. He had to study very hard to get where he is in his world. And he won a very important case, one against a crimelord in New York City.
